This a 500 sqft recycling drop-off center that was built at North Carolina State University as crash course to design/build with instructor Randy Lanou from Build Sense Architecture. My team was given two and half months to phase through design, draft, fundraise, construct, and transport. You can watch a timelapse of our processby clicking HERE.
This being the first building projects my teammates and I have ever built we took the opportunity to geek out on some details. Paying special attention to the detailing of the structure helped to articulate the specific needs within a small space. It also allowed each teammate to claim a part of the project as their own. My contribution was the custom patchwork wall made of wood floor samples and the criss-cross metal screen on the south wall.
